Marsala is of particular interest for its historic center with the Convent of the Carmine, the monumental complex of San Pietro, in which the Risorgimental-Garibaldino Museum is installed, the Museum of Flemish Tapestries and the Baglio Anselmi Museum, where the remains of a Punic ship are displayed. In addition, the Stagnone nature reserve with the Punic island of Mozia and the Ettore e Infersa white salt pans. Further information: www.comunemarsala.it. There are other tourist sites a few dozen kilometers away, such as the Museum of the Satyr at Mazara del Vallo, the archaeological park at Selinunte, the fascinating medieval town of Erice and the Greek theater and Doric temple at Segesta.
