| Parallels between winemaking and preserving cultural heritage |
| Sicily is a jewel box of art, history and natural beauty that deserves to be promoted and exploited with the help of private enterprise as well as public sources. The splendid Madonna with Child and Angels Holding Tassels, one of the most important works in the “A. Pepoli” Regional Museum in Trapani, was in urgent need of restoration. Thanks to contributions from Donnafugata, the work was completed in just a few months, returning the 15th-century painting to its former splendor. This initiative is a testimonial to what can be done for the island’s artistic assets, and a stimulus to do more. |
